Garden Walk

Today was a gorgeous weather day! It also happened to be the date chosen for the Bay City Garden Walk. This year four of the six featured homes were near our house, so Jim bought tickets for us. It's like going to a quilt show and getting inspired to make more quilts. Seeing the beautiful gardens of plants and flowers made me want to do better in my yard. We were allowed to take pictures, so I'm sharing a few of my favorites from today. I took many. The last photo which shows a little yellow house was a mystery for me, but Jim knew what it was. Do you?

  3. Beautiful gardens! It would make me want to do something more in my yard too. Alas, my thumb is not green, though my sweet hubby's is a mint green, so we at least have flowerbeds. I am guessing the yellow house is for bees, then I saw someone said butterflies and I think that makes more sense. Bren

  4. If it isn't a butterfly house is it a bat house?

I love the old wheelbarrel...I have one that I do something similar with but it NEVER turns out as beautiful as the one you show.

  8. I'm a few days behind in looking at blogs. What beautiful gardens!

It's a butterfly house. A man was in our town selling them at the farmers market this weekend.

Ooooh! Love that clematis! Boy, does that one look healthy.

  12. My guess would be a butterfly house but I guess we better wait and see in your next post. What lovely pictures. How thoughtful of your Jim to get tickets so you could both enjoy the homes and plantings in person.
