For those of you who ventured a guess as to what the yellow house was that we saw on our Garden Walk, I think butterfly house is the correct answer. Jim thought it was a bat house, but so many people guessed otherwise. I finally did a Google Images search and this shows houses similar to what we saw.
The second picture shows Brandi with the Kittens for Brandi quilt that I finished just in time for her graduation party. It was started when she was about five years old.
Thank goodness that wasn't a bat house. I was a little afraid for you! Brandi is a beauty and she looks very pleased with her wonderful quilt. Bren
ReplyDeletelovely kittens quilt, Brandi is a lucky girl!
ReplyDeleteCute butterfly house - I've never seen one before. I am in awe of your Dear Jane...... I bought the book and made one block. Yours is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful graduation present for Brandi. I love the kitties.
ReplyDeleteHere's something to make you feel it didn't take you so long to finish afterall. My mother started a Sunbonnet Sue top before I was born. She finished it and gave it to me just before my oldest was born. Hmmm....only a quarter of a century after she started it!
Looks like Brandi likes her quilt. What a great gift.
ReplyDeleteOh - well I'm going to have to try to find a butterfly house. Over the last couple of summers I have been trying to plant things to make a butterfly garden. A few do stop by, but if they had a house they might decide to stay *s*
ReplyDeleteShe looks happy. Will be a nice lap quilt for her or wall hanging even.
ReplyDeleteCute, whatever it was. Bats would have wanted much more room. They are wonderful - eating millions of bugs that would otherwise be eating us!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is great - timing is everything. LOL!
You can't hurry these things!Tracey
ReplyDeleteGreat Cat quilt.,..and your Dear Jane borders are looking spectacular!
ReplyDeleteI like the house. Maybe Dad should build one??
