I DID IT!!!

my finished Dear Jane quilt top
The last stitch making this a complete top was taken tonight at 7:24 p.m. I am so filled with emotion as this has been a part of my life since March 7, 1998 when I made my first block, J-6. As I sewed the last few stitches, I could feel tears welling up in my eyes. I may just need to have a good cry now, but they will be tears of happiness.

  4. Jeanne! It's so beautiful. I know exactly how you feel . . well, not really because I've never worked on one quilt for so long nor have I ever produced such a beautiful quilt but sometimes I am emotional when I finish a quilt. I've always loved the Dear Jane quilt but I know I will never make one. You put a whole lot of yourself into that quilt and it's a beauty!

  36. I have one of those in my future, already bought the goods - the book, software, templates, paper, and bag, ready to go - just waiting for cool weather this fall/winter and I'm going to begin. Yours is the inspiration I needed to not let myself continue to be side-tracked. Cathi has made a gorgeous one and is busy quilting it, now yours. I admire your determination and perserverance.
