The last stitch making this a complete top was taken tonight at 7:24 p.m. I am so filled with emotion as this has been a part of my life since March 7, 1998 when I made my first block, J-6. As I sewed the last few stitches, I could feel tears welling up in my eyes. I may just need to have a good cry now, but they will be tears of happiness.
Way to go, Jeanne! That's awesome - you should shed many tears of joy.

It's beautiful and I really admire you for finishing it. 9+ years is a long time to work on a quilt without putting it aside and moving on to something else. It will be an heirloom when you quilt it.
