Wisconsin Week-end
We left Friday for Wisconsin to attend our granddaughter, Abigail's confirmation on Palm Sunday. Twenty one young adults reaffirmed the faith that was spoken for them at their baptism. Our 'little' granddaughter is so grown-up. She looked beautiful and did a wonderful job speaking her chosen Bible verse in front of the large congregation. The pictures show Abby with her three Pastors, Kari, Abby and Craig and the third one is Jim, Abby and me.
We left for home around 5:30 hoping to beat the storm that was headed our way. Although it snowed and rained through Chicago and Indiana, it wasn't until we hit Kalamazoo that the roads deteriorated to the point where we couldn't see the lanes so we had to stop. After dropping JJ off at his home, we checked into the motel for a much needed rest. This is what we saw in the morning. Thankfully, the roads were clear.

You forgot to tell your lovely granddaughter not to get taller than her Grandma! She is a beautiful girl, you must be very proud!
Hi Jeanne! Congratulations! Your granddaughter is very pretty!
Congrats to your granddaughter...and her proud grandmother!
DH and I drove from MO to TX for his nephew's confirmation the weekend before Palm Sunday. DH was his baptismal sponsor and we felt it was an event in his life that we needed to be there for.
Lovely photos of a very special occasion, Jeanne. Glad you made it back home safely. Where in WI were you? (That's my home state.)
What a lovely day, congratulations. Is this a Lutheran church? It looks familiar to me! We used to confirm on Palm Sunday but it was moved to Pentecost a few years ago at our home church here. I can't believe the snow!
Many Congratulations to your Grand-daughter on her confirmation to faith :) She's a beauty!
Congratulations to your granddaughter. Those pictures look so cold!
Your little granddaughter looks so grown up! Glad you made it safely through the winter weather!
I'm glad you got to attend your granddaughter's comfirmation. She is a beautiful girl. They grow up way too fast. When my son was confirmed he was the only boy in the whole class, but of course he liked that. Have a Happy Easter.
What a beautiful granddaughter and such a special occasion! Congratulations.
She is so handsome.
