Bargain Hunter?

You be the judge. My quilt guild held its annual garage sale last night. Members bring their books, patterns, fabrics and projects that they no longer need or want and the guild gets a bolster to the treasury. Keep in mind that we were able to shop before the meeting began and after it was over. Look what I brought home.

Yes, you are seeing two copies of "Joy To The World" for which I paid $5.00 and $.25. I shouldn't be let out alone after dark.

I love the "garage" sales too. Our guild sells quilt/craft books for about $1 and magazines $.25-.50 . It's fun to bring home things that you might not normally buy. For instance, I bought home a doll pattern for $.50 and I have used it several times.

Oh, now I feel better. On my shelves are two copies each of four great books. If that were not bad enough, I nearly got two copies of Tessellations - by Jinny Beyer, and you know how expensive that one is! If this is consolation, now you have a great gift for someone else who loves to quilt!

Great books and great fun,
I have gone to our local guild's sale a couple of times and really enjoyed the experience. I came home with a large mat bag for 5 dollars and lots of magazines and books.
You must really like that Joy to the world pattern LOL
Happy quilting,
Warmest regards,
Anna
