A Little Piecing or Piecing Little

Today I played with little 'waste triangles' or those chunks you cut off when making a half-square triangle from a square. The first top measures about 12" x 14" and was started this past summer. It just needed to be a bit longer and have a border. The second one is made from HSTs that my sister, Connie, gave me years ago from a charity quilt she had made. It measures about 7 1/2" x 9 1/2". I have an idea how I will use it, but that will be another post.

They're both so pretty! And so little! I love itty bitty piecing! Well, I don't like doing it, but I like the result! LOL

Very nice. I did the same thing a couple years ago and love that little quilt. Besides, it feels good to use up what some might toss in the trash!

Oh, my gosh, those are so tiny! My best friend will love this post. Did you see the little bitty quilts on the QNM Alzheimer's contest page? 3 of them were pieced of tiny bits, too. I have to tell you I won't be in competition with you on these sizes! LOL

Hi Jeanne, so happy to see your name on the PhD list at Myra's. It's great to know someone else who's in the challenge. Thanks for your kind comment over there. I sure am hopeful I can get some of those old ones done. It's always one little "thing" that gets us hung up on a snag, isn't it?
Love the little waste triange quilts...very pretty and happy looking. I'm sure they would make great gifts for a quilting friend. *VBS* Hugs, Finn

Looks like you are keeping busy! I hope your Holidays are lots of fun and family time! I am so jealous that you got to do the cinnamon roll thing in Shipshe...I hope they have it in the spring again.
