Summer School

My local quilt shop, The Quilted Cottage, held a Quilters Academy this week. Many different kinds of classes were offered. I chose five of them. I wish I could have done a few more, but I did have to sleep sometime. My classes were a clothesline rope bowl, scissor holder featuring ten embroidery stitches, Texture Magic tote bag, a reversible cap and a no-sew cord wrapped bowl. I liked the bargello class, the button making class and the fabric jewelry class, too. (next time) Yesterday, all of the classes met for Show & Tell, group pictures and to receive our T-shirts. It was an action-packed week. I managed to finish my tote, rope bowl and cap and am still working on the needle holder and the other bowl.

Oh, what fun it looks like you had. I love the red bowl and the stitchery. Where is your shop located in Michigan?

Wow, you managed to get a lot done in such a short time. You projects look great, I especially like your bag. It looks large enough to hold everything.

That sounds like an action packed week and you have some lovely things to show for it.
I never heard of a clothes line bowl before. How do people come up with these ideas? It's really pretty and of course I love the bag you made.
What do you think of the Texture Magic? I have some but not tried it yet.

Nice looking group. Was the bowl easy to make? I bought some of the rope at a retreat but have yet to even check it out. I thought if nothing else I could string it up in the garage like a clothesline to hang my drip dries if I never use it as intended. ;D
