nine applique blocks wallhanging for Habitat Auction
Really, I'm still working on my projects even if the progress is slow. Today I finally have a finish! The border isn't as dark as in the picture. Remember those applique blocks made from the challenge fabric package? It is finally done and will be turned in on Monday. The local newspaper is going to use the challenge slant for the Habitat story this year. On Monday, I'll have a chance to see all of the projects made for the challenge and hopefully can share pictures.

two tickets to Friday's Tigers ballgame
We were at Comerica in Detroit yesterday for the Tigers game with the White Sox. Jim, Connie and I shivered a bit and cheered a lot, but still no win! And another loss today! It's a nightmare...please wake me.

Annie and Jasper have been spending some time outside with Jim since the weather has been more like spring. They are tuckered out when they come in and sleep the rest of the day. I caught Jasper 'exploring' in the cherry tree. He looks like he's saying, "What? I didn't even notice the bird houses!"

But...wasn't it just beautiful outside here today? I had all the doors and windows open, all the dogs outside, hubby on my tractor ... it was awesome!!!!

It was gorgeous here today too! And I saw a robin so I know spring is finally well and truly here.
Your little quilt is gorgeous. And I love the picture of your kitty in the tree!

my nephew wants his Unka Ron to take him to the game. Maybe when it's 80. I have a hard time juggling the Pistons and the Wings right now. Maybe a Lugnuts or Loons game once its a bit warmer-they are closer for us anyways.

What a beautiful quilt. I do so admire people who can do applique well - I'm just starting and finding it very difficult to get smooth edges.

Love your finished quilt, the purples are gorgeous! I am feeling your baseball woes. The Red Sox aren't doing any better, but you keep on keeping on with the faithful!

Sorry. I finally got my fingers to click back and found the book and author. I got to get that one.

The quilt is gorgeous. That kitty is looking so innocent! Did I ever tell your cat is a ringer for my Simon?

Happy baseball season...the MN Twins 3 and 3. In two years they'll be shoveling snow before each early season game, March through May. They start playing at the new outdoor stadium in 2010.

I know, right? I think it is the Sports Illustrated *curse* don't you? Jasper and Jack are such kindred spirits. Every time I see Jasper I think it could be Jack!

Your quilt is gorgeous, beautiful applique! The picture of Jasper is priceless...he's got the "hand in the cookie jar" look on his face. In this case, it's paw in the birdhouse. :)

I think Jasper was just wanting to check that the birdie accomodations were going to be just right for his little friends *s*
