Garage Sale

Jim goes to a lot of auctions and buys box lots. He may be bidding on only one item in the box, but gets to take it all home if he is the winning bidder. The upstairs overfloweth! So he's been working all week getting ready to have a garage sale today. He had a steady flow of customers all day and sold quite a bit.

We're picking JJ up at the train station tonight. He's having computer problems and needs to get it running ASAP since he uses it for work. I don't know how long he'll stay, but even a brief visit is good.

Yesterday I put together a top for UGRR. The yellow striped fabric made it look like more work than it actually was to make. I'm thinking a young girl might like the bright pink.

Today I sewed about a dozen more little log cabins for my broken star wall hanging from this post. I should be about halfway done with the blocks needed.

Happy quilt! Don't you just love it when a fabric adds more than you thought it would to a quilt! For that reason I use a lot of stripes.

Hey Jeanne! Love the bright, cheerful quilt - can definitely see it on a young girl's bed, adding colour to her room. And can't wait to see the Broken Star quilt finished - will look spectacular! Happy stitching! Bear Hugs! KRIS (Tag Along Teddies)

That is a very happy quilt. I love it. My dad was a big auction lover. In fact the auctioneer used to just let him have things at a low bid rather than keep letting the bidding go further. Those were fun times going with him and coming home with who knows what.

Hi Jeanne, Thanks for visiting my blog! What does UGRR stand for? Our quilt group makes quilts for the local Ronald MacDonald house, and they're much appreciated. I am sure some little girl will really love this pretty one.
