Touch of Tuesday

The watermelon table runner is now finished and on my kitchen table. It says summer.

Another retreat project that I finished up yesterday is a soup bowl coozie. You
use it when you warm up a bowl of soup in the microwave. You won't burn your hands on the hot bowl. Could also be used for ice cream when the bowl is too cold to hold.

I'm linking up with Connie at Quilting By The River for her Linky Party Tuesdays.

A huge thank you to Teri at Patchwork Playground for sending me the pattern section for the sunflower templates I need to finish my blue scrappy quilt. No excuses now.

And happy 17th birthday to my beautiful and talented granddaughter, Abby!

Love your watermelon runner! I have been meaning to make one like that and just keep forgetting! Great idea for hot pads for the bowls, is there a pattern?
Thanks for sharing.

Now that watermelon is pretty cute.
Maybe that could be done as table toppers with other fruits and vegies also. An idea anyways.

The rind binding on your runner is adorable but I would love to hear more about your bowl cozy. Is there a pattern online somewhere?

What a great idea to make a bowl cozy...I often use a hot mat for that, but I love your idea!
