Autumn Quilts & Pumpkins
I love fall even though I am holding onto summer as long as possible. Give me a 65-70 degree day and I'm full of energy. May Britt asked about our favorite season and quilts that depict it. Here are a couple of fall quilts that grace my walls. The scarecrow was made by my sister, Connie for my birthday several years ago. Isn't he adorable? The pattern was in a Piecemaker calendar. The harvest angel I bought at one of my guild's mini auctions and was made by Kathy Pelkki. I love that one, too.
I was at the market the other day and took pictures of pumpkins. They have big ones, little ones, bumpy ones and white ones displayed among gourds and cornstalks and pretty colored mum plants.

Thanks for sharing. I love scarecrows and pumpkins, but I have not made a quilt with those.....yet.
those pumpkins look great look at the different colours and textures... wow are all these eaten or just used of decoration?
So cute, the raffia on the scarecrow is a clever touch, and I love the pumpkin photos.
Those wall hangings are so cute. I love those Piecemaker calendars. I collected them for several years - great patterns in them.
Cute fall quilts! I have never made one, but I would really like to. Need to think about where to fit this into the zillion things I have going on...thanks for the inspiration!

Oh, Jeanne, those pumpkins are beautiful. Where do you live? It's going to be 90 here in Atlanta today. Too hot for innocent pumpkins.
Cute quilts. I love this time of year. I don't think I've seen white pumpkins before. I'll have to keep an eye out for those locally.
