Pincushions & FQs

several of my pincushions
I gathered most of my pincushions together to show Blueberry Lane Designs. She found two copies of Lynette Anderson's wonderful pincushion book which is out of print. The one I use the most is on the left with the little bag attached for strings and scraps. It sits next to my Featherweight and also goes with me to classes.

four fat quarters of fabric won from Annie at Simplearts

The lovely FQs came from a drawing at Simplearts. Annie said these are from her own stash. They fit perfectly with MY stash. Thank you!

I'm quilting on the applique quilt, but it is slow going. Machine quilting is not my favorite thing, but I'm too slow at hand quilting to get it finished that way. I'd say I've quilted over half of it, so it will be done soon.

Your pincushions are TOO cute! I think that needs to go on my to do list. Mine is one of those tomatoe ones with the strawberry thing attached, (why that made sense to someone I have NO idea) and it's beginning to fall apart.
do you use all of them? what do you like best to stuff them with?

Cute, cute pincushions, dear !
My favourite is the wooden one where you can place your thread too. It must be very handy, when handpiecing (or quilting) ! :>) (Is there a link where I could order such one ??).

And beautiful fat q's, too !

((HUGS)) & smiles to you, Genie !

I love the kitty pincushion! The one with the tomatoe on the side looks interesting. It looks useful too. I have the little stand for the thread. Did you glue the tomatoe on there yourself? I love those FQs...especially the red one!

I have no pincushions! Am I alone in this? Do you think I can use one of the cats for this? LOL!! If not I *need* a cat pincushion pattern.

I like the looks of those little cushions with the bag attachment, but I can't even hit the opening of the wastebasket by my side . . . I'd never manage to get a thread in there *s*

Cute pincushions - I really need to make myself a few of them. I've even bookmarked a cute tutorial.
