Approaching 200

My post total is nearing 200, so I've been thinking about a give-away. Stay tuned for the announcement coming soon.
pile of five quilt made for the Underground Railroad

This afternoon I tied five quilts for the Underground Railroad. It made for a pretty and soft, comfy pile that both Jasper and Annie were keeping their eyes on as I worked.

The first guild meeting of the new year is tomorrow night. Usually after a summer break, there is lots of show and tell to admire. I'm taking my camera.

While I was sorting through the box of goodies from Molly, Annie kept trying to squeeze her plump, fluffy self into a shoe box. After a few frustrating, failed attempts, she settled for the torn shopping bag nearby and promptly fell asleep.

Annie, trying a different way into the shoe box
Annie, yet another try into the shoe box

Jasper, who sees no need for a nap when there's hunting to be done, chased this pheasant up into a maple tree in our backyard. The bird got away unharmed and hasn't been seen at our house since.

Those quilts looks very inviting -- and I can only imagine how tempting to the kitties!
I love the pictures of Annie trying to get into the shoe box. So typical of kitties -- trying to squeeze themselves into spots that are way too small! No wonder she was so tuckered out and had to have a snooze on the shopping bag!

She's a beautiful cat. I have one that looks a lot like her. Cats are such neat animals and how they love quilts.Glad the pheasant made it out of the tree.

Congratulations on the pile of 5 quilts. Can we see them in more detail? Or are they already on show?
Thank you.

Cute kitty - they are so much fun to watch. Did she catch you watching her trying to get into the box? I got a "not nice" cat look when I witnessed a failed attempt...

Aren't cats a hoot? Your pheasant is cool too. I didn't know ring necks could get into trees! I've only seen them on the ground in corn fields. Jack says "hey" to Jasper.

Hi jeanne, what an impressive number of tied quilt to be shared1 I really don't mind the tying as I do baby quilts, but boy, oh boy, I sure do get tired of the binding!
I look forward to the show and tell picture. Hugs, Finn
P.S. Ebby and Annie must be related somehow...LOL. I get that same kind of help with any package I open. Ebby really favors the tissue paper the most tho.

Lovely pile of quilts! How cute of your cat to want to fit in the shoe box ;-) And the poor pheasant - how funny!

I'm also approaching 200 (luckily that's posts and not years LOL)

What is it with cats getting inside of things. Mine love cardboard boxes and laundry baskets with clean clothes.
