Log Cabin Blocks Plus
Happy September! (Although it felt more like the middle of summer today)
My little log cabin blocks are now all sewn and ready to be put together. I had to get a preview of how it will look. The color isn't very good as it's past midnight here. I'll make sure the lighting is better when the blocks are a top. So far, neither Jasper or Annie have touched the blocks. They are five inches now and will finish at 4 1/2". The pattern is called Broken Star by Edyta Sitar.
I also finished the bonus stitchery block from Bea. Today she posted the new block for September. I'm thinking I need to lay off of the hand work for a few days, though, as my arm is throbbing at night.
Another picture of my hibiscus. I just love the flowers!

It was really warm here too -- and supposed to be quite wrm again tomorrow. I'll take all the warmth I can get as I dread the thought of winter.
Love that quilt. What gives with Jasper and Annie ignoring those blocks?? Don't they like log cabin blocks?? :-)

I love the way your log cabin quilt turned out, Jeanne. Great colors, too.
I'm thinkin' my hibiscus needs to come visit you for a while, for some R and R or vitamins, or something!
That's the first log cabin star quilt I've seen and it sure is pretty. Your post reminds me to check on the September BOM pattern too. Thanks!
The dinner plate hibiscus is beautiful. I used to have one that color but it died out.
Oh Jeanne! I just love that quilt! It's just wonderful. And your hibicus is awesome. Hubby recently saw one of those and now things we need one in red and one in white, but I heard they are hard to grow here.

I'm starting to work on Edyta's Elegant Garden applique blocks. I enjoy reading your blog and visit often. I just started mine a few days ago. Come and visit sometime.
