Crumbs Update

fabric scraps, drawer and sewing machine
My Crumb block total is now at 67 blocks with more to come. I repled to Nadine that the fabric in the drawer was finally shrinking. After looking again at my sewing area, I see that statement may have been misleading. Apparently, most of the fabric scraps are now outside of the drawer surrounding my machine. No wonder the drawer is getting empty and my area messier!

Jeanne >LOL< my previous comment to your earlier *blog* indicated that my DGD and I have a *over flowing* tub of crumbs..they just keep coming from, and falling into or near the tub....but *we* do have good intentions that they will actually become *blocks*! Your idea of 6.5 blocks seems very realistic...did you square them up, because *crumbs* are all *wonky* to begin with?

Also neglected to tell you earlier..I LOVE your "pooh and niners" quilt..very nice job on that! HAPPY QUILTING TO YOU! Barb ~loving Fall weather in PA!

I think that is still considered progress - at least in my book!! Keep it up!

This looks like it is going to turn into a fair size quilt! It must be nice to really sew away on all those left over pieces, seeing the pile get smaller (even if the pile on the work area grows *lol*).

Have fun!

Oh boy - can I ever relate to this! As you well know if you've been watching me make string and mile-a-minute blocks. I swear I have more strings and crumbs than I had when I started - many, many blocks ago!

I'm looking forward to see your crumbs quilt sewing together! It's nice to have so many crumbs, that gives the quilt a beautiful scrappy look!

Crumb blocks are something I should consider. I have a tower of plastic drawer cabinets brimming with crumbs...not just a single drawer for me!

Maybe when the arm cast comes off...

Saw your link on your comment from Heartstrings message. Love the fall photos you shared! I've never seen white pumpkins before! NEAT!

I can't even begin to think about fall with the heat we are having here in SE Texas.... but going to pick out a pumpkin with our 3 year old will be something to look forward to in a few weeks.

Now off to read more of your blog ;) ~Bonnie in SE Texas
