Bonnie was here!
Last Wednesday was the first guild meeting of the year. We had a special speaker this September (we usually don't have a speaker for the first meeting). Bonnie Hunter from North Carolina and Quiltville fame delighted a packed room of eager quilters. It was wonderful to meet her and actually see her quilts up close. I've been following Bonnie for many years. Here are a few of her quilts piled on the table after the meeting.
Bonnie taught her 'Star Struck' class on Thursday. It was a great day. I chose a variety of my repro blues, one background and a Pennsylvania cheddar for my blocks.
On Friday, Connie and I brought our finished Carolina Crossroads quilts for a photo opportunity with Bonnie. Thank you, again, Bonnie.

Jeanne - How neat that you met Bonnie. She came to our guild, but I wasn't able to go that night. Nice to have your photo with her and photos of her quilts.
You lucky duck! I have it on my bucket list to meet Bonnie and take a class, and see a trunkshow of hers before I die! LOL, so glad you shared it with us!
Oh that's great!! Looks like you had a good time.
How exciting!! I saw her quilts too at her other Michigan stop! Love the photo of you and your sister with your CC quilts and Bonnie...how fun!
Look forward to seeing your new quilt!
Your Carolina Crossroad quilts are lovely. Mine is still in pieces, in a box in the closet...LOL. How wonderful to meet Bonnie! I love her designs, and admire her so much.
