I was sorting through several piles of projects (and I have plenty of them to go through) and found a BOTM project from 1997. Three blocks had been finished before it was put "in the pile" for whatever reason. The blocks were hand pieced. It was either get rid of or finish, so today I prepared the April and May blocks and will try to finish this UFO before 2016 rolls around. The fabrics will take you on a trip down memory lane!
Also finished the first five rows for the Temecula Quilts Summer Sampler. Half way done now! Several friends and I are doing the blocks as they were in the original quilt.

Ah, the urge to finish it or get rid of it. Glad the finish won, the blocks look lovely.
So glad you decided to finish these hand piece blocks... they are so pretty!
So nice to go through some UFO's and bring them out again to play. Enjoy your hand stitching. I'm curious to see what the next block will be with those shapes.
Did you still have all the fabrics together? You are so dedicated to finish it!
I love those fabrics. You blocks look great!
I'm late to the Temecula Summer Sampler party but hope to join in the fun, it's great! You're right, Jeanne, your "vintage" blocks take me back a bit, they're absolutely beautiful!
Beautiful blocks!
It is always great to revisit "vintage" fabrics and pretty blocks. Enjoy your stitching.
lovely hand pieced blocks............
I remember trying to coordinate with blues from the early 90s about 15 years later. Impossible. At least since it is a BOM you should have all the fabrics needed already. The blocks are lovely. Good job finishing up something from almost 20 years ago!
Happy stitching,

Show and tell in November? :)
