Hello September

Did you think I got lost in Grand Rapids? It was a wonderful quilt show and we already booked our room for next year. The venue was great and Grand Rapids has many things to see and do near the show. Being held in Michigan, we were
seeing familiar faces everywhere. I heard that the vendors all clapped at the closing of the show because they were happy with their sales. I helped as much as I could.

One of our favorite booths was Primitive Gatherings. Here's the talented Lisa Bongeon in her booth.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching how the Tentmakers of Cairo make their awesome applique quilts. They are mostly men and stitch so fast! There is a book available from AQS if you'd like to see the quilts and learn more.

Among the many weeds in my backyard, the hibiscus finally decided to bloom!
It has many more leaves than flowers, but the flowers are spectacular.

Here are my final two Summer Stars from Temecula Quilts. Now if I could only find the other six so I can stitch them together!

Looks like a great event! Primitive Gatherings sure gets around, don't they? And their booth is always so beautiful. So glad to hear that the merchants were happy with their sales! Maybe things are turning up! We quilters do our part, right?

What treasures managed to follow you home from the show, lucky you! I have a friend who took a class from Lisa B. (Primitive Gatherings) and she raved over what a wonderful teacher she is, I just LOVE her stuff. I'm glad you had such a nice time, Jeanne.
